Frontier Cancer Center & Blood Institute is a member of the Accelerated Community Oncology Research Network (ACORN) and the Montana Cancer Consortium. As a result, we are able to offer you the opportunity to receive the latest and best through our clinical research trials. These studies help find safe and effective approaches to disease prevention, diagnosis and treatment. The advances that are made as a result of these studies helps to improve the quality of cancer care for everyone.
Here, you’ll also find the latest and most powerful diagnostic tools, state-of-the-art imaging equipment and drug delivery and therapy systems that provide for the highest level of accuracy, reduce some side effects and promote the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Desiree Gauer, MS and Karla Forster, CLS, CCRP are responsible for the screening of all new patient charts and patients who are coming to Frontier with a recurrence or metastatic disease to evaluate whether they are a potential study match. They also work with physicians and other staff to coordinate each study patient’s care plan and ensure that the correct time lines, tests, procedures, et cetera are met per protocol standards.
